Freelee’s own journey started nine years ago.
The 35-year-old was overweight, depressed, suffered from irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue, poor digestion and acne.
She started to research nutrition and came across the raw food diet.
After trial and error, which included a stint of eating only bananas for a month, her high-carb fruit diet saw her shed 20 kilograms, and her health problems disappeared with the weight.

‘For lunch I have more fruit, whatever is in season really.
‘If it’s stone fruit I might ease a massive plate of stone fruit, like 30 or 40 peaches.’
Freelee disputed criticism that her diet was ‘boring’ or not ‘satisfying’.
