Cooked too much sauce again? No problem: The remains are best placed in an ice cube container and frozen. So you can quickly thaw them in portions if you need them next time. Keep salad fresh longer
Arugula and lamb’s lettuce wilt after a short time. But if you put the salad in a bowl, put a kitchen crepe on top and close everything with cling film, the salad lasts a week. The kitchen paper absorbs the moisture, which primarily makes leaves mushy.
Cook loose white rice
If you follow these simple steps, your cooked rice guaranteed is not getting sticky! First you should wash it, preferably in a sieve. This will remove the excess starch that might make the rice stick. Incidentally, you usually need about 1.5 times as much water as rice for cooking. This is especially helpful to know. On a cup of rice, you pour one and a half cups of water.
However, the most common mistake is usually during cooking: it bubbles up, and we want to stir immediately. But better to avoid stirring and turn the stove down a bit. Before serving, you can then loosen the cooked rice with a fork – done! The rice stays than loose even if cold and is easy to use for lunch the next day as well.
