Yes, they can eat raw, and if you want them to be healthy and nourished, raw food is good for them. Greens are vital for growth, as are other colorful vegetables. You can warm up a little; this does not reduce enzymes like cooking would. Raw food is the most natural thing, and it does not harm if given in the right way. Here are some helpful tips and good advice to make the most nutritious raw food for your child.

Babies will love to explore color, texture, and taste.  Consider introducing a wide variety of foods when starting solid foods.  Green seems to be the main issue so think about bringing a positive vibe when preparing green foods.

Using ice in these recipes will help break down the fiber. However, all baby and toddler food is best served slightly warm, as it will be comforting and reassuring to your child.

If you have a Thermomix, you can also warm the smoothie to 37 degrees, keeping it raw yet warm and comforting for your little person to enjoy.  If you don’t have a Thermomix, you can slightly warm these recipes on your stovetop.  Don’t overcook, as you will lose all the enzymes and some of the dense nutrients.
